Traders around the Bantama market in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, say their businesses will collapse if the metropolitan authorities relocate them to the Race Course area.
The traders say there is limited space and sheds at their new location, thus, their merchandise are expose to the vagaries of the weather and thieves.
Petty traders who do not operate by the roadside have also complained that they have been affected adversely, even though earlier notices sent to the traders did not mention them as part of the group to be relocated.
They have appealed to the government to come to their aid by reversing the relocation decision of the KMA.
